Would an Eclispe-like system be good for a bredding pair of Cons? Or would that be too risky for the fry?
size wise, say an eclipse 12, would work for a while I believe. As the pair grows I would probably move them to at least a 20long. Never owned an eclipse setup, but for the first three months I had my cons, they bred quite readily in a 10 gallon. The fry should be ok, the adults might get on each other though in such a cramped environment as they grow and continue to breed.
I am assuming the eclipse system has a fairly standard filter intake, so I wouldn't be concerned. good luck, doubt you'll need it...

I was asking about the Eclipse System because I found a great deal on a 27g tank with an Eclipse System knockoff. I forgot the name brand, but it looks good. It's $80. I figured that's a good deal, wouldn't you say?
sounds decent...cons would probably be ok in that size tank, even though 55g and up seems to be common around MFK. What do you have planned for the fry???

got 4 of them today and put them in an old 30 gallon because the 55 no longer holds water. the filter is a fuval 4 plus internal filter is that ok??
That might become a war zone, given the tank size. Once they've settled in, it would probably be wise to keep the dom. male and female and find a new home for the other two. You might be ok, but 4 cons in a 30 sounds tricky.
