good so the babies wont get in the way of anything.

it'll cause problems if you keep other fish with them. if you keep them by themselves then there wouldn't be too many problems. once they spawn, they'll raise the fry for around 6 weeks until time to spawn again. at that time if the old fry are still there they could very well eat the older fry in preparation for the next spawn. if you want you can remove them and use them as feeders or you may be able to find an lfs to take them, though I doubt you'd get anything for them. :)

Jason_s is very correct. I have a couple of pairs of Pink Convicts, and they breed at the drop of a hat. as soon as i can remove the fry from the tak, the female is laying again. They don't make real good feeders though...don't know why. I may have to seperate the pairs for i have no way of getting rid of that many fish.

cant you just get 2 females to avoid this?

Just what I was thinking :D . I have a 29 gallon with a breeding pair on convicts though. Very fun to watch these fish, if you want something interesting and fun to watch, get a pair.

i have 9 cons in a 55 and one pair layed eggs that have hatched but yesterday i noticed another pair laid eggs too. i think i may have some new food for my puffers, oscars and gars.
