I used to do the same exact thing breed the convict in a 20g (long), and when my oscar were barely an inch or an inch 1/2, I would give them a couple fry. Convicts dont really need much work to breed, once they breed they dont stop. thats why LFS dont take them in anymore! The fry will be cared by the mother as the father guards their nest. no serious feeding is required, the mother usually feeds them the first couple of weeks, then they will feed off the scraps of pellets or flakes, sometimes even algae.
