convict breeding

I'm not 100% sure (I don't know if anyone is), but I think Convicts are sexually mature at 5-7 months of age.

And by 'rebreed' do you mean breed the fry to the parents, or fry to fry? In that case, yes. It's fine, it's called linebreeding, and is a very useful method of "locking in" a desired trait in your fish.

Mine were breeding at about and inch or two. I just kept them in a 10 gallon tank and put all the babies in a 20 for a grow out tank. Then at about 4 inches the male killed the female and all breeding was done. I just threw him in my 100 gallon to play with all the other cichlids

They start breeding again at 1"-1.25". 3-5 months depending on how much room and food they get.

Of course you should know by now you only need 1 male and 1 female to have a pair. The other female will most likely be killed. So take her back. Oh, females have ORANGE on thier sides.

If you breed fry with fry theres no problems. But fry with parents does happen in the wild.
