convicts are the easest...

They are and i've done em before but i never really knew the difference between the sexes.

Female convicts are smaller and have red on thier sides and generally have blue fins (much more colorful). Breeding them as feeders is a bad idea...THey grow slow and most fish don't eat them (they shape is a good theory).

I hate convicts...they won't die!!!!!

I tried it and cons do breed like crazy BUT most of my fish won't touch them. I don't know why but I think its the shape. I also had a baby pbass die from choking on one that decided to expand its dorsal fins

Thats always been my concern with using convicts,but lots of people use them with no trouble.Guppies have soft fins and bodies easy to chew.convicts will produce bigger spawns and grow faster but need more room.
