Convict Growth Rate?

How long does it take convicts to grow full size...Looking for a community type Cichlid with some bichirs...Do you think that would work?

I have a 100G Tall

They grow pretty slow. If you only have one it may work with bichirs. A pair will be mean, sometimes one can be too.

Oscars don't make good community fish. It doesn't seem to matter which sex. The Pink cons are way more aggressive than the black (zebra) convict.

Yeah, I agree with them being slow growers...

They grow pretty slow and reach only about 5-6 inches when fully grown

i agree, i've kept black convict pairs and a female pink convict, one inch female convict chasing 2 in red devil.

I've had my convicts since they were eggs. They are about 3.5 months old, and the largest male is about 2.5 inches. The rest I'd say are about 1.5-2 inches. SoOo not the fastest growing cichlids out there

Convict's are awsome fish. but, it takes about 2 years for a convict to reach 4-5 inches!
