as you can see they are close up pics with the flowerpots be'n kinda big in the tank i'd say its a 10 gallon tank. an ive never seen the heater be fully submerged in water all the directions i have is to leave the top part stickin out of the water.

Dude it's best to full submerge your heater.

Terracotta pots come in may different sizes. From the size of a shot glass to the size of a bucket.

yeah i submerge my heaters fully (less i dont have a holder for it then it kinda bobs around) think they tell you to do that for your convenience, dont have to get your hands wet if you leave the top stickin out and need to change/adjust your temp setting. ;)

idk i have my heaters in between my 2 filters so the heat it gives off dont stay in one spot it gets twirled around.

I know others have said it, but that tank is going to bust open if you don't have all four corners supported. And that's waaay too many cons for that size tank!

I agree :nilly:

fix the tank turn it side ways

I think the tank is a little overstocked but if they start fighting too much bring a few back to the LFS. If you turn the tank it will be supported better although the vew wouln't be as good, I understand. Overall your set up is sound the water looks clean and the fish look healthy just watch your water, the more fish the more waste the more water changes. As a 13 year old MFK'er your on the right track, learning as you go just like the rest of us. When I was 13 I had a 10 gal tank with 3 oscars and 2 JD's I didn't know any better the Internet was still a long way into the future and I left alot of dead fish on my way. Keep reading and asking questions, in a few years you'll be showing us what to do. It's a great hobby, have fun!
