Dither fish- is a fish that is added to increase the pair's desire to bond together. In return, they unite against what they perceive as a common enemy.

That's actually the deffination of a target fish, not dither fish. Dithers are fish, usually schooling, that stay out in the open and encourage shy fish to come out more. They notice the dither fish are out in the open and assume no predators are around and thus come out themselves.

Oh shoot you're right darth pike. Ugh, I apologize! I got them both mixed up.

Pretty much they just breed whenever they feel like it, kinda hard to predict when they feel dirty.

is there a differece between diferent colorconvict? beside color...of course.
i mean are they native from diferent place or something like that?
found black convicts, was hoping for others too...i'll go to another shop this weekend just to see.

HO YA....how many couples can i have in that tank????

not the best idea man just buy feeders .... convicts sometimes eat there fry, breed once every 3-4 weeks, not to mention if some fry are faster growers will eat there siblings... there unpridictable and pricey as food....
