Im got a 5 inch convict two days ago. Every since i got him he has been swimming with his face in the gravel and tail floating. When i leave and walk back into the room he seems to be swimming fine, but then he will swim with his face down. It sometime appears that his tail floats up and causes his face to go down. Any ideas?

Heres a video of what hes doing. Hes been doing it for two days now, that ive seen. But i dont know what he does when im not around.

Hes been doing it for three days now. I have no clue whats going on, and apparently no one on here does either. He eats food off the top, it just seems he cant swim right.

All I can tell you is it seems there could possibly be something wrong with its swim bladder, which would be the same thing as your equilibrium being off. That's as far as I could say. I'm no pro but just my guess. I also don't know if that is the case if you can do anything for him.

he got attacked very very badly before you got him put him in a bucket and clove oil the poor thing its not your fault right? He was probably used as a dither and got his swim bladder hit hard...again the humane thing is to CLOVE NOT OLIVE oil him in a bucket so he will pass painlessly he is messed up bad to a very severe level as far as i can tell.but i am not there again humanly put it down and i wouldnt doubt it if that oscar has grabbed it
