convict questions

anything that will eat convicts would be a good tankmate I hate convicts! although it is kinda tempting to breed them still horrible fish though...

have any thing nice to say lately? Ya reemed me out earlier in my thread too.

I bought 8 convicts for my 135, 2 weeks ago and all im left with is a pair (i hope a breeding one). Dont buy them from petco though whatever you do.<----see thread "poor fishy" in general aquaria discussion for more details.

But Rainbow Cichlids are ugly. And I also don't like covicts that much. But
they make good feeders. Try Hemichromis Elongatus (banded Jewel)

What is up with all you convict haters, IMO...if you hate convicts you hate cichlids because they are a prime example of cichlid success and evolution.

But Rainbow Cichlids are ugly.

Angelicgreenterror was talking about rainbow fish, not rainbow cichlids. milennium rainbows are my favorite but they're sometimes hard to find and when you do the fetch a higher price than the more common rainbow fish.

May I ask why? Did convicts kill your father and rape your mother? Hate is a pretty strong emotion to waste on a fish.

work at a LFS and it seems that everybody and there momma is breeding them and for about the last year we have been up to our eyes with convicts...

That does not seem like a good reason to hate a fish.

I don't hate convicts, they are pretty cool. But as a cichlids is concerened they are just small
frys. They are great to keep as tank disturbers. They keep evryone active all rilled up. And
easy to breed. Makes good feeders.
