well i had to put my male convict and my red devil in my 55 due to tank proplems.latly they have been staying around the same flower pot.but to day the were locking lips is this a breeding sign or do i need to seperate them????
It could be a mating display or it might also be territorial aggression (i.e. both fish are fighting to claim the flowerpot as their own). You didn't mention the size of your RD but in a 55-gallon you may soon have a dead convict. A single RD will not tolerate tankmates in a tank of that size.
