i think im just seeing females in your pics, mainly because of the color in the fins. they seem pretty small still so hopefully i'm wrong and you catch a pair.
hi im a newbie. i have a pair of convicts and they spawned three times already. at this time the frys are free swimming. hope they will survive.
its very easy to identify the gender of convicts. the male have a little bump on his head and bigger than the female. while the female has the orange coloration on her belly and some on its dorsal fin.

if possible get more of them and see which ones lay eggs
i have 5 convicts and have no trouble with them laying eggs and the eggs hatching
the baby convicts surviving is another trick especially with the other fish i have in the tank
they are best if when they lay eggs to find out whitch ones couple and put them in a seperate tank
my uncle raises them like that i got mine from my uncle

1 pink female convict
the females have an orange spot in the stomach area

you had it right in the first post you made...i was new to this too a month ago jason_s and i think it skinless schooled me now i feel like a pro at pickin out male and female cons just by looking at them
