mine paired off on thier own, and if you want them to spawn take them out of that p tank and your gonna see results

Yea, my mother Convict moved her fry all over the place. Now they are a couple weeks old and they follow the mother wherever she goes.

Congrats on the fry....I usually siphon the fry out right away and raise them on my own....Although they have excellant parental skills, I found that at least 20, maybe 30 fry get accidently swallowed during "cleaning" or "moving"...Whether something startled the mother or she just had too many in her mouth, a number of fry are always swallowed..
this is my cons second batch and all the fry have dissapeared again!I thought that maybe mom had ate the first batch or they got sucked up in the filter but this time i put a sponge on the intake and watched the eggs hatch and turn to wigglers and then all the sudden they are all gone again.it has been a week so far and no sign of babies.
