the fry have been freeswimming for 3-4 maybe 5 days. They have been poking around in the substrate for food, and exploring. the parents are doing there jobs, but they sometimes leave there spots at feeding time.
I just spent 2 hours going through my wardley krll, shrimp pellets and tubifex, and collecting the dust at the bottom. i got a cup of water, and let them soak and sink. i though it in the tank and watched the fry eat. 2 of them got a hold of a tiny peice of krill, and had a tug of war with it just like big cons
. i went out to the store and got what i need to set up the ten gallon. I'll toss the other juvies in it, and let the fry become more self-dependent, then i'll swap the juvies and fry.
There is an almost 3" blood parrot in the tank, but he is harmless. he is only there till i can find a home for my red devil, then he'll go back in with the 6" blood parrot
p.s. I don't have a camera that is good enough to take pics of them at this time. pics will come when they are bigger
