i am gonna set up a convict breeder, is 20l too small for a singla pair. i will be empting the fry out as soon as they are free swimmers. and also, i do water changed like clock work. is it gonna be a problem?

Yea 20L is way too small for a breeding pair of convicts. I would go no less than 113L or 30 Gallons for a breeding pair.
A 20 gal long is plenty of room for a breeding pair. If you dont think it is then ask my pair that are in a 10 gallon and producing 100+ eggs each month. Convicts dont need space. All they need is 1 male and 1 female and NO other tank mates and you will have eggs in not time.

Yep..10g is enough. My pair just bred...and waiting for the fries to be free swimming and going to move them into another 10g or 5g to grow them out a bit.Hmmm..original poster is from indiana...last time I checked...most americans don't use the metric system (20l)?
