the pleco's only a baby, maybe 3". to coreybrown, just chiclids pellets for now.

yea he could be eating the eggs right after they are laid which IME is at night whenplecos are most active

so i pulled the pleco out and built a new stand for the tank, moved it and the next day they laid the eggs. i have fry now, so a couple q's. first, when do i pull the fry out and put them in a separate tank? and how long is it between spawns usually?

when i used to breed i would wait till they are almost free swiming. then before they can swin all crazy id water vac (gravity) the fry out and put them in a 10g with a heater/air stone/air filter for a semi heavy circulation. then hatch baby brine shrimp/ feed that fry powder. its a learning experince but all worth it. GL

ha, thats exactly what im doing. i netted as many as i could and syphoned the rest out into a 10g. and i have a brine shrimp hatchery goin
