Hey I was thinking about getting some convicts, but wasnt sure if they could fit into a 20 gallon aquarium?

I have a 30 but would rather sell it because the stand looks horrendous, and i have a pretty nice setup on the 20.

Thanks. :nilly:

I've had a breeding pair in a 20g once. It's possible, but I think it's too small IMO. The male ended up killing the female...too small of tank for her to make a get away.

You will be fine in a 20 gallon. I've seen adult breeding pairs kept in 10s, but that is more work that I'm willing to put into a pair of cons. 55 makes it much easier, plus you can have a couple pairs in the tank manufacturing your feeders for ya!

:iagree: when i first started trying to breed my convicts i had them in a twenty gallon and the male was gettin very violent towards the female......i moved them into my thirty gallon by themselves with a few more plants and they've been living happily and breeding ever since..........
