I would think some neets would certainly hold their own. The oscar wouldn't work, but the jd could if your upgrading to the 75

My last question is that my female have been taking turns laying eggs and seem to be simulating a pair taking turns laying eggs and both protecting the nest. If they continue to do this would they still display to aggression to other fish as if they are actually breeding?

My Convicts do it as well, I don't really notice much of difference, since they are already the smallest fish in the tank...if anything, I think it gives them a little more of an edge against the larger tankmates and keeps the bigger ones in check
