Tbh I suggest don't add them with the Oscar’s.Do you think these two inch convicts are good to go in with a 4 and 5 inch oscar? Can they hold their own?

The Oscar’s are young and less aggressive. A pair of convict's can pin an adult Oscar in a corner.Tbh I suggest don't add them with the Oscar’s.
That's very possible back then I only seen wc Oscar’s and most people fed them feeder goldfish. But maybe Oscars were more aggressive back then vs 50 more years of domestic breeding.
Thats very true. Okay, its settled lol. I’ll keep convicts seperate. What pH do the convicts like? On google im reading 6-8 just like oscars and you guys are saying they like more hard water so what exactly is the pH? 7.5-8? I keep my o’s at 7. They seem to thrive better at 7 rather than my 6.4 tap water pH.The Oscar’s are young and less aggressive. A pair of convict's can pin an adult Oscar in a corner.
Ill never feed goldfish to my oscars again. I had one tiger oscar turn all white and having convulsions on the bottom of the tank and was swimming around all crazy and smacking off the top of the lids of the tank and then died. And his companion jumped right out of a small square cutout in the lid just so perfectly at 7 inches. Broke my heart. Thanks petsmart. That was hell of a learning lesson. Someone online told me to feed em goldfish and didn’t mention get them at a locally owned fish store or farm raised place and that major pet stores goldfish were all filled with diseasesThat's very possible back then I only seen wc Oscar’s and most people fed them feeder goldfish.
