why does everyone hate on hybrids?? if the keeper is responsible and does not sell these off to a store or release them i see no problem in them

While I do not keep African Cichlids myself, so I have not felt the pain of this personally...
A couple of species of Rift Lake Cichlids ae no longer available to the hobby as pure species, because all of them in the hobby have been hybridized and we can no long er remove them from the wild.
I bet 99% of the people who allowed hybridization of those species argued just like you guys saying that no long term impact would be had from their actions.
Hind sight is 20/20 but sometimes it's to late to look back....

I freely admit to being conflicted on it; if my own fish hybridized, I would keep a few to see what resulted . . . but I would never let them back into the trade
