i have a 240 gallon tank, its divided almost in half. my monters fish are on one side and my african arowana, clown knife, and bichir is on the other side. my tank has a sump and i put a sponge on my pump so no fry or fish get sucked up. the sump dimensions are 51"x21"x10" i think its like 35 - 40 gallons of water. would pvc pipes and plants be good to put in the sump for hiding spots for the fry?
