Convicts???

Yes they love to dig. Alot of times they will dig down to the bottom of the tank and lay eggs on the glass.
k. mine dug i huge pit in the 10g. I had a half coconut burried under the gravel and i looked today and the insied of the coconut is down to the glass. Both of the convicts have a beautiful turquise on the bottom fins and a orange/turquise on the top fins. so im hopping for babies soon 
Some fish just love to dig. I use to have a midas that would pile all the gravel onto one side of the tank. I would move it back and he would pile it all back up again. I guess he liked it that way and it kept him real busy.
ya i think they might breed soon. The coconut half is completly bare bottom underneath it. they both gard the coconut when im near the tank.
I've been trying to get my Cons to pair up. The male hasn't been chasing the female around as he used to, so I think he may be accepting her.
convicts love to dig and they are great parents too... had black convicts in my tank and firemouth cichlids also... had one of my convicts and firemouths that hooked up and actually made some pretty baby fish... the convict did all the digging while the firemouth protected the cave...
