like the title says, i need to convince my boss to get a nice show tank for our nice showroom. i work at a car dealership and have been thinking its a good idea for a long time, and then today i was at another dealership today and they had an awesome 300g cichlid display. a few things to include, what size would look good, what stock would be , and why it would be a good idea::headbang2
keep in mind money is never an issue in the car buisness, and neither are resources like power or space.

a lake malawi cichlid tank is always a sweet show tank with lots of colors and can hold a good variety of coexisting cichlids. get a lot of rocks, the fish will love it and its nice decor

thats what the place i went today had, looked good except they had fake plaster coral for deco lol

I do always enjoy a nice cichlid show tank. Although, even if you got a 100g with some nice community fish, it would look pretty tight. Think about how many different types of schooling fish you could have in there!!

a centered 12 x 3 x 3

a couple arowana, preferably blacks if you can get them at a good size
30+ polys
a big ntt datnoid
6+large eartheaters (brasiliensis, altifrons, abalios, dicrodozter)?
crenicichla sp. 'atabapo fire'
40 clown loaches
5 tinfoil barbs

black painted background, sides, and bottom
sand substrate, a large chunk of driftwood, smooth, dark river rocks, and floating plants

the only problems i may see are the pike's aggression, and too many bottom feeders

gl convincing him

id say just a nice 125 gal malawi tank

Big u trying to run his boss put of buissness and get him fired? Lol am not good a show tanks what so ever cause i want those monster fish (.doesn't matter if they lookgood). People aren't just used to seeing what we do. There all in thinking we keep feeders and Betta fish... People dont like change I can tell you that

200 gallon arowana, bichir tank!

I think at a dealership... something soothing.. .like a huge planted community tank would be really nice.. tone down the intimidating feeling you get sometimes...

150g
sand substrate or eco gravel stuff..
different types of rainbows

I'm not good at remembering names and such so maybe someone else can help with that...

May not be MFK to some, but in that environment.. I think it would be nice to see.. .
