convince my boss to get a tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
im not sure what tank to recommend but a 300 sa/ca tank is a winner!
to convince him maybe show him a few tanks off of here! im sure he'll fall for the hobby immediately.
Good luck :)

a community would be nice aswell eh, i had my 115 as a community setup and i must say it was gorgeous. my stock was angels, black skirts, platies ect
u can have cory cats in there, bn plecos, swordtails. make it planted i think it would be a pretty sweet tank!

A huge aquascaped discus community tank would be a show stopper that everyone would be sure to enjoy. Another would be to go with either a FOWLR aquarium setup with a professional 'fake' background, or even a nice big reef. Freshwater stingrays would also be something cool most people don't see every day, or even know about.

I would make sure to get a pro aquarium set up and maintenance service, if there is a good one you like in the area. Try and find a service that works with aquariums, hotels, ect. Go and check out their work in person too!

Oh, and also, big and fancy aquariums can become an attraction, especially when professionally handled. You will find more people coming in. Maybe just to check out the tank, but remember that a browser today is a buyer tomorrow!

But most importantly, an aquarium, when done right, is a work of art. The benefits for both employees and customers include lowered blood presser, a better mood, as well as education about fish and conservation. All the benefits of a pet in the workplace, but with no shedding or pooping on the floor that a mammal would have.

Also GET A TANK! :naughty:

i like the discus idea but arent they tough to keep? not a huge fan of african cichlids, but does anyone have pics of a nice ca/sa show tank? when i think of ca/sa cichlids, i think of my green terror and cant picture him with anyone else. thanks for the input. the other one i thought he would actually think about were the huge picture tanks that are self maintained, and are like 60"x2"x36" or whatever. and load it with 100 neon tetras

Maybe a moderately planted tank with angels and GBRs would be good. I think at a dealership you want a slower less aggressive display, something to calm the customer while they are in the middle of haggleing.

yeah Discuss and Angels heavily planted with sand substrate and a bunch of Schooling fish and some BN pleco's would be dope!

But a aggressive cichlid tank is right on as well!!!! Especially since the car industry is cut throat lol....

Or go real expensive and get a 350 or 400 gal saltwater :)

In a public/business setting a reef will always be more pleasing to a broad audience

whatever you do, don't mention about the amount of water change. He would be fuming
