I ordered gator from a restaurant one time. Didn't like it much

But I'd give it another try

The first time I had fried gator bites it was overcooked and I didn't think is was as good as what everyone was saying, but I gave it a second chance from someplace different and I really enjoyed it. I think it's easy to overcook and completely ruin it to the point that it has a texture like rubber.

My folks got a 1500 acre ranch in wachula Florida that is mostly swamp so we shoot our fair share of gators. We soak the meat in milk and just fry it on a pan.
