ok, the lfs gave me a large Rd they didn't want it and I cant find anyone to give it to...so does anyone \know how to cook it...... I heard they were good...so could u send me a link of the guy who cooked his rds thank you

Why not post it in the buy and sell and have yourself a fish fry of catfish. If the Red Devil is nice and healthy, I am sure someone would take it. If it is sick, then no one should eat it.

:iagree: If you just hold on to it and post it up for sale someone will absolutely take it off your hands.....but you are right some guy did eat his RD on here........the picture of it's head in the sink is still pretty messed up to me.........

I think Cichlidmahem or someone similar to that user name has a thread and pictures of him eating his RD's and or Midas.

You guys are talking about Central Mayhem. He hasn't been on in a long time.

Why did you take the fish if you didnt want it? Obviously the LFS you got it from saw no value in it or they would have sold it. Personally I would never give a fish to someone that didnt want to keep it. If you took it you are now responsible for it. Cooking it and eating it is a cop out to taking care of it.You should have left the fish in the store. If you want to taste RD/Midas go somewhere they are caught wild and catch 1. The chemicals used in fishkeeping state "not for fish intended for human consumption". That alone should preclude you from eating it. Just my .02.

RD are good? im still waiting to eat my Oscar cuz i heard so much stuff about them :)
