I'll be honest...I'm a bit afraid of him.When you capture these things in a net they really try to hurt you, they slash at you.They WILL bite at you repeatedly through the net.Crazy fish.He is also the first fish that I've ever had that literally comes to the front of the tank and looks me square in the eye and then slowly drifts off.I can actuall see his pupil in his eye when he does this. Totally unafraid of me.Lots of personality.....I can't imagine him at 24"+. Thanks again my friends.

Wow that's scary. Good thing he's in a tank. lol. I sure wouldn't want to be swimming and find a 3' him looking me square in the eye! Jesus!! :WHOA:
 
lookin great mike! 17 inches?!?!?! u still have him on live?

mines at about 20 inches now but his growth slowed down since i got him off live....:(

deff my favorite fish too!!!!

He might be close to 20. I was just eyeballing him at 17". I am still feeding him live. I will try to get close to him with a tape but he keeps moving to the rear of the tank.Good growth on yours my friend.
 
Growth rate when they come off live is slowed..... I have definetly noticed this...... As I always have the slowest growing ones...... Cause almost all of them are off live by the time they hit 6 inches.

My thoughts........ Whats the rush to make them outgrow thier tank?

I agree though.....as soon as they figure out YOU are the one that provides thier food, the stare is definetly something else........
