This little gopher tortoise has been spotted in my backyard a few times. He is beautiful and a delight to have around as long as he doesnt try to dig under the house or something! Anyhow, I thought you guys would enjoy the pics!

He is cool to have around. Ive seen a couple since Ive been here and a couple days ago while fishing I had a GIANT, at least 200lb loggerhead swim within 15ft of me and hang around for a minute or so. THAT was cool!

Man I caught a cobia Monday on the Navarre pier fishing for mangrove snapper! The fish was just legal at 34" (he looks tiny in the picture) and I landed him on size 1 light wire circle hook using a tiny piece of cigar minnow for bait! Cobia sashimi is FANTASTIC!
It was an awesome morning. I got there at 6AM and was back to my car by 6:30AM and that includes the half mile round trip walk! My first drop was a nice mangrove snapper, second a short cobia and third drop was this one! I just went home after that and went back to bed!

Why did you leave obviously the bite was on? How the situation with remoras are they bad there? Thinking about heading back down for labor day weekend for a day or two too fish a bit.
