Cool backyard visitor!

The cobe wouldnt fit in my cooler and its hard to get mangrove much after sunrise as the remora move in. They were THICK about two weeks ago but they are thinning out. Man they suck....literally. Its been really hot lately so its been a bit slow. I will probably head out in the AM in hopes that with all the south wind this tropical depression has brought, some better fishing will be had. If you head down, come down to Navarre, its a fantastic pier!

Thanks! He is a gopher tortoise. As for my little girl, she aint nothing but a chip off the old block if I do say so myself! ;)

That pier is the longest in the state of Florida and in the Gulf of Mexico and is a quater mile in length! Its beautiful out there. Every day we see sea turtles and all kinds of wonderful wildlife!

Yeah i had the same problem with the bonita last time. We had brought only the small cooler because my mom thought I wouldnt catch anything big. Low and behold we had to bring 4 bonito home in the dink of a cooler. Also hows the kingfish bite? If it's better than panama's bite i might try a new pier.
 
Cool turtle! I have a female box turtle in my yard. I see her every now and then. I would put food out for her but we have opossums around here and I'm sure there are raccoons around too that would visit.
 
The king bite with the right wind can be phenomenal. We recently had a high pressure system move in and bring alot of North wind which sucks. A couple days of a strong south wind like we are having now should bring the bite back. A couple weeks back we had an awesome bite. I swear 40 kings hit the deck in a two hour period!

Navarre is locally known to be the best king pier on the Emerald Coast, plus we have an octagon so plenty of room at the end.
 
I guess ill stop by there and then hit up PCB on the way back up. I just cant go all the way down to the emerald coast and not visit my home pier.
