Hah hah hah...
Just because I'm 15 doesn't mean I can't drive on private property. And besides, im just giving my opinion. If everyone wants to be prejudice and laugh at me for my age, fine. But the facts I've given are all true.

You're coming off very childish bud. Fact is that there are great cars from every country and there is no need or reason to be so close minded. Having driven everything from beat up old Mercedes and Taurus' with 2 forward gears and no reverse to new Bentley Continentals and GT500s, I can guarantee you will change your mind when you get out there and start actually driving different things. If you don't change your mind then you will miss out on some great cars.

To the OP, I have to agree with Bderick67. My 99 accord coupe is still running like a champ so I would suggest a 4 cylinder Honda Accord coupe. You already got the minivan in your family so if you have less than 4 kids then get something with some style. I personally think the newer accord coupes look great.

Ok, why would anyone who hasn't driven a car legally be offering advice on this topic? And why would the names VIPER, ASTON and FERRARI even come up in a thread about FUEL ECONOMY???? (Unless we are talking bad MPG)

Are you looking for a NEW car specficially, or would older, but nice still float your boat?

My 2000 V6 Roush gets 32 or more highway and looks great doing it. :headbang2

well im ending up buying my old man's 2007 dodge quad cab hemi 4x4 lol. i simply need a truck in life, and will drive the caravan to/from work.

i was seriously debating a brand new V6 challenger, but need a truck. i still might buy a used car, we'll see.

I'm just glad this topic is done. Someone asks for advice on fuel economy and the conversation heads towards exotic track/drag cars, 15yr olds giving car advice, recommendations of 150k+, and the ludicrous statement that "the lambo is the only thing you will see me drive out of these" LOL. I bet we never see you driving ANY of those. Chances are none of those cars are realistic

*edited to add that none of those (aside an audi) are in my price range either. But I didn't make the ridiculous statement.

I know the decision has been made, leaving some of us confused, but I have some useful input. Was the new Elantra mentioned? I think it looks pretty slick and it gets great mileage. I've driven a Mini and had a blast doing it, both Cooper and Clubman. I could not help but smile the entire time. The new Ford Focus and Fiesta are good looking, fuel efficient cars as well. The Honda Fit is always a good option, even if it does look a bit dorky. It has a lot of interior space too! The new CR-Z is probably the best looking hybrid out there. It looks like the designers took their time with it.
I wish the Nissan Juke got better mileage. I love the bizarre looks!

One car to avoid for anyone, the PT Cruiser. Mine has given me nothing but trouble. I've modified parts of the engine for better power and MPG, but it hasn't really done anything. It needs major service every year, gets 24 MPG for a compact (should not be the case), has no power (I can floor it and it doesn't go anywhere), and has the turning circle of a Buick. It was cheap to buy and has a lot of storage space, but it's cost more than my dad's RX-8 has just because of repair bills.

Wow.I've never been a fan of the PT but this is pretty pitiful...especially that last sentence.

interesting on the pt cruiser, my caravan has the same engine as the pt and it runs like a raped ape and has been flawless so far, while getting 20mpg full of my family.

my mother/law has the pt turbo and its been great as well, but damn ugly cars lol.
