I heard someone suggest a lima to go with your oscars. Good idea, I keep two of them with my oscar. One thing to watch out for is the sizes that some people give. I have been told that they only get to around 12-18 inches in captivity, but I can personally say that I have two one I have had for around 8 months and the other around 7 months. I got both around 3 inches. Now 8 months later the oldest one is 10 inches, and the 7 month old is around 13 inches and thick as can be for a lima. They eat like champs shed mucus like crazy. They don't bother the oscar and they oscar doesn't bother them. The oscar is around 9 inches and is only about 5 months old. They all share their home with a 18 inch planniceps. The two limas actually school with the planniceps. I don't know maybe they think he is a really big lima. lol. Anyway the largest record of a lima in the wild I could find was 33 inches, and in captivity was 24 inches. So good luck and don't believe everything you hear.
