Cool Cichlid for 55 gallon tank?

I dont want to get this thread of Track, but witrh a similar sized tank, 75gallon what would be ok to add with a Female Red Terror? Is it still to small to add a female Jag/RD?
Just trying to figure out what to put with the female RT I want to get in a 75gal
 
i would go with a jackdempsey. they are very good fish to have. though im pretty sure it will dig the plants up. but it would add color to the tank

Yes i am going to get it soon, it will be a bit bigger than the other fish but that might make it less likely to get bullied from the start.

i was looking at the dempseys and terrors and I chose the terrors cause they seemed a lot more interesting and better colours


would these fish eat guppie feeders when they get bigger cause I was thinking about setting up a 30 gallon rubermaid tank, planted and breed guppies for live food?
 
The bichir and maybe the gt, but there will be no benefits in doing this. The general idea in feeding bichirs is to get them OFF of feeders, and again, it's not a good idea to throw feeders in there with the gt. Even if it were beneficial, could you imagine a 8-10-12" fish banging around in a 4'x1' tank chasing feeders?

Great advice. MY JD smashed into something in her tank while chasing a guppy feeder. The whole side of her head turned black while the other was normal. VERY strange looking

I stopped feeding them feeder fish after that. Looked like someone punched her in the eye :eek:

Tank looks good, now just pray the GT's a male and you're set!

How can you tell if the GT is male or Female?? or do I have to wait till it gets larger, the convict is a female
