Since i have nothing in my 25g anymore, i think i want to turn it into a gold fish tank for awhile.

Can somone post some pics of some cool looking big goldies, with names?

Thanks, David.

Ranchus are nice, but expensive. Remember that goldfish pollute more than other fish, so you cant put that many in there. Go for shubunkins or big comets. I was looking at your 75g stocking, and I would advise against that pacu. THey get huge, fast.

Yeah i know, hes already growing like crazy, when he gets too big, we'll find somone to take him.
But hes my favorite fish.

Look into the Wakins. I have moved up from Comets to Wakins and I love it.
You wont find them in most LFS's yet but some koi dealers have them.
Try:www.wakin.us/wst_page6.html
I didnt get mine from there but the pics are outstanding
However, with that 25g you'll only be able to get one and that will be for a short while. They grow big.

Keeping these in a 29g.
Top fish is common fantail, bottom is oranda. Goldfish are ammonia making machines so they are kept in a bare bottom tank that has two large HOB biowheel type filters to keep up with only two fish. I'm looking to move these into a bigger tank soon since they wreck the water quality so fast. My personal choice for a 25g would be just one common fantail. They seem to have the most attitude in the doubletail realm.

ill see if there are any better ones..
i cant find any more..
if anyone knoes the name...
i personally think oranda's are awesome..
maybe lions heads..
get a bit to big for 25gal
orandas..

^^^ those are called Pearl scales over here. I like that over regular fancy tail goldfish.

For a 25G you can't stock much cause any goldfish will grow large sooner or later...

Might as well get some kois and then trade them in for smaller ones when they get too large. I am sure you'll be able to trade those easier than goldfish. that's what my g/f does in her 29G.

I think i settled on a Black Moor or a Ryukin.
Now i just need to set up my tank:grinno:
