Cool ideas for a 5 gallon corner?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
A giant betta; or make it a small planted tank with some neon tetra or angel fish !

Small species of mantis shrimp like in my avatar. You would need to make it a marine tank but they are the coolest little monster you could fit in there.

The one in my avatar get way to big (nearly a foot!) but there are small species

Maybe a single Blue Ram, 5g is kinda on the small side but you might be able to get away with it

My thoughts exactly. Gorgeous little fish and very interesting to watch.

some sort of shrimp?

i was considering breeding rcs in it before but they're not very common in my area, ghost shrimp are cool too

Hay, i like ghost shrimp. That's what I would do. Or you could get a couple marble crayfish. Other then that nothing else will work besides a betta in a 5 gallon.

i was going to do marbles, but they're not too available, and i want my plants to live, i might do them in a diff tank

You could put 3 or 4 male Endlers in there, at 3/4" they would add some colour and movement - Petsmart was selling 'Cobra' Endlers but these are GuppyXEndler hybrids and may get too big, try Aquabid (but no females or you'll have an explosion!).

im not really a guppy kind of guy, maybe one to clean up some hair algae on my hairgrass

maybe a pair or trio of badis... or like 3 gobies... you cant put "many" of anything besides shrimp into a 5g..

You could do 5 or 6 white cloud mountain minnows and 1 corydoras catfish.
i feel like the cory would be lonely, and the white clouds be cramped

lol nice zebra mantis, i was actually considering doing a small mantis in my tank, maybe g. wenneranaearerweraeddsfnan or whatever, but what would maintenance be like for one?

if i do fresh i think i might do add another nerite or two and a handful of ghost shrimp, plus maybe a guppy or something

if i go salt ill probably do the mantis

A blue ram cichlid would be awesome. I plan on turning my 20 gallon into a planted tank with blue rams and rummy nose tetras. Just have to wait for my africans to grow up so they can go into my other tank.
