not sure how it's done , i saw one one time where u looked at a pic of jesus and when u closed ur eyes and put ur head back u could still see..
the human mind is incredible

its partly to do with your eyes too, you have a blind spot if you put 2 dots next to each other about 3 inches apart and focus on one, the other will disappear

This one doesn't work on me, my color vision is way off and the dots are blue to me and don't change colors. But I also see blue roses.
