SO I am in the process of making a rack for a few tanks to breed some convicts for feeders and I did not have enogh filters to go around that were the right turn over rate for each tank. So I took my little pump out of a repto filter that pushes 120gph and made a intank sump sort of filter. I also made the tank out of some glass shelving. The pump is in the bottom of the filter and then it has scrubbies and then some filter floss on top. I was going to make a drip plate but this serves its purpose for now. Let me know what you think. This one has worked so good that i am now making one for the 29g as well with a power head for the pump in the filter.

Looks as though it should do the job.

Nice,it should work well.I havent used one in years but Im kicking around the idea of hamburg mattenfilters in a few tanks, just for fun.

I just realized that you made the tank. I thought that you had just installed the internal filter. I give you even more props for a job well done. Rock on!

Thanks alot ---i was worried about the shelves cause they have beveled edges and rounded corners so thats why I went so thick on the silicone. The bevel was about 1/2'' in length and took the glass thickness from 1/4'' down to allmost 1/8''. And the corner had about a 1/4'' radius on them. But it has been up and full for 2 weeks now and no leaks yet so I guess were good.
