They seem to be more active with more decor. They become bolder knowing that they have a fast retreat.
 
i've got my baby bichir's and flagtail growing out with mine. the flagtail schools with them, really funny.

k i got part of my list (these are just fish i would like to keep im not saying all of them have to go together i can handle being told they cant all go together)

Kuhlis and horseface loaches will not mix well with clown loaches nor anything on your list. If you want Polypterus ornatipinnis, do make sure your clown loaches are 6 inches and above in length as these bichirs tend to try swallowing anything even if you think they won't fit their mouths. Stick with P. delhezi and P. senegalus for now. Peacock eels should be fine with clown loaches.

As a rule, loaches with serpentine shape such as dojos, horseface and kuhlis are not compatible with Mastacembelus sp. and Polypterus spp.
