i dont know how much money you can really put into keeping natives, i mean

you can order them, and they tend to be cheaper than a lot of tropicals

and, you dont need a heater with most species

has anyone kept leeches b4? ive got 4 of em and dont know what to feed em

I put hardly any money into my natives, most of them I catch myself and I love collecting whether I keep the fish or not so it's no extra hassle for me.

Leeches will eat chicken liver, give them some of that.

Thats what i was worried about with the alewives. the constant moving and nearly constant need for food...it was just a random thought they used to wash up on the beach in michigan from time to time.

Right now i have to prep my tanks to move again in september...lovely....ten tanks ranging from 10 to 100 gallons.
