Cool Pickup!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i've been working with him for about an hour now and i did manage to get him to snap at a piece of shrimp a few times, but it didnt take hold enough to pull it off the feeding stick. we'll see what the night brings.

Has he eaten anything yet? Be it feeders or not. ( I hope so)
Prior to you getting him what were his tankmates, if any? (just curious)

he just ate a whole shrimp about 5 minutes ago!!! i may go for one more piece tonight, but i feel pretty good about the road were on now!

his tankmates were a 14" lima shovelnose and a 12-13 inch common pleco.

ill keep you all updated on the shorty!

he just took a second piece of shrimp and almost picked another up off the ground on his own! i think this shorty is going to be a looker in no time!!!

Excellent... Figured he'd turn around in no time.
Now the real fun begins as he turns into a split personality nut job...

i feel much more relaxed knowing he has at least eaten now. have you ever kept a shortnose that wasnt a basket case? this one seems fairly calm, but from what youve said...this is going to be just one of his personalities.

my shortnose was always calm and never as skittish and crazy as i'd heard and expected, i guess it just depends on the personality of each individual fish

I can't help but to notice a past tense here... What happened to the fish and how long did you have it?
