Cool tank mates for my bichirs???

hi, i have a 4 inch albino bichir and a 4.5 inch delhezi bichir in my 29 gallon tank. my mom doesn't like that my bichirs are lazy 'bottom feeder" and she is urging me to gets some more "stunning" fish that can be easily seen. what fish can be kept with my bichirs. will upgrade my tank to a 72 gal but i want to put a piranha in it instead. It would be awesome for you guys to give me some some "exotic", eyecatching or a beautiful fish that can cohab with by bichir in my 29 gal. no fin nippers or very risky aggresive fish please!!!!

leopard ctenopomas, african knive fish, and butterfly fish are all interesting bichir tankmates

I had danios that always swam around the top they are pretty fun to watch but they like to school so at least 3 is best.

I have 3 Opal Gourami, (one is an EXTREME jackass and is obsessed with following my Del like its his mate) 4 Silver Dollars, One Brown Knife Fish, 4 Giant Danios, I bought my BF two Platy but one got eaten by my Del and the other has a Del shaped chunk missing out of his tail.
They all get along fine, no fin nippers or aggression, except from my Gourami male who stalks his girlfriend Del. A bit overstocked for my 55 I think, but I do a weekly water change and dont over feed and everything is fine.
Some of the fish will become food eventually which is fine.
