Cool tank mates for my bichirs???

You could keep all the other african fishes.

An african knife fish, african arowana, african tigerfish. These combo will be sweet!

But for me I'm having 3 EBH / ERH, 2 Indonesian Datnoids and 1 green arowana + 2 silver arowana.
 
Congo Tetras would be nice. Pearl Gouramis wouldn't be bad either.

Cant you get them at like petsmart now? I saw a bunch in the tank with the knife fish
 
Leopard Ctenopomas get much too large for a 29g, plus they're ambush predators, so they like to hide.

A small school of Congo Tetras might work well.

I got mine from a local lfs, I don't have a petsmart near me haha

But the del he was will outgrow a 29 also and my ctenopoma is generally always out and about swimming
