Cool Water Pleco

I got my first Pleco 2 years ago, its an ancistrus. he has been with my carp and goldfish in an unheated tank.
He's 2,5 "now and living in the Monstertank nowadays.
Every fish, even my 10" Hypostumus will be chased away when they try to eat where his cave is.
Totally nocturnal, though...

Most chaetostoma do not prefer it this cold. In fact, most imported loricariidae that you can easily get a hold of will not be well suited for these temps.

i would not want any pleco with gold fish if thats what you or doing. they will tend to want to suck on the slim and will prob. kill the goldfish. just a heads up (if thats what you or planing on doing)

I thought this thread was dead, but I'm setting up a 60g Northern Uruguay Gymnogeophagus tank. Still not sure if I'm going to add a pleco or not but the tank has just started to cycle so I have awhile to decide.

The best plecos for a Northern Uruguay tank would be plecos from Uruguay

I'd bet Ken Davis has some...
