Cool (weird) stuff for a 30g long?

That thread I posted earlier shows the 20 long brackish set up I had that would be perfect for mudskippers or fiddler crabs. I would agree that puffers are sweet. You could do a figure 8 puffer and some bumblebee gobies.

Figure 8's are very low end brackish puffers...

So i would suggest either a Congo Puffer if you don't mind lurkers, or a bunch of Dwarf Puffers if you want a group and planted tank, otherwise you could go with one of the red eye species of puffers which are quite active and stay around under 4"

Thanks for all the responses!

Puffers are a possibility, but I've already got a very young Fahaka taking up my 2nd biggest tank, so I might try something different.

One species I'm considering that I know very little about (except that my LFS can apparently source them somewhat irregularly) is the Flashlight Fish. Obviously they're salt, so there would be that whole learning curve, but the idea of something bioluminescent is obviously pretty rad. I was told they don't get very large, and I was thinking I'd set up maybe a 10-15g sump.

Anybody know anything about Flashlight fish? (I might start another thread about this in the marine section.)

What about archer fish? I'm not sure how big they get but that would be very entertaining to watch.

Yeah I know what you mean I've just always thought those would be some pretty awesome fish to watch. I dont know where you can even get them though.

There were a few at my LFS last week! They looked really unhealthy, and actually somebody there said they were having a problem with them. I think they had them in fresh when they're supposed to be brackish. I think? I really am not even sure. I've also seen them online a bit, I don't think they're impossible to find.
