You know, I don't think that anybody mentioned the Coelacanth until you did, LOL... and they are very possibly the king of primitive fish. :headbang2

Naw, the true kings are lamprey and hagfish.

where can i buy a snake head? Or something close to it?

if your from the US, unfortunately it would be difficult to get snakeheads there.. but you could try pike cichlids, they have the personality and the look of a snakehead ;)

I'm going to have to stick with Coelacanth. Though lampreys and hagfishes are more primitive, the coelacanth was only known from fossil records until 70 years ago. But I have a feeling that you knew that. :D I dunno though, it is a tough one between them.

Yeah, I knew that. They are all pretty cool and often ignored. Then again, you cannot keep a coelacanth in any kind of aquaria.

Yeah. :( But, there is someone in Africa building a specialized tank for one, it'll be interesting to see how it goes. :D

LOL, it's some millionaire down there... I forgot the dimensions, but it's this HUGE tank, and it is pressurized. I'll try to find the article.
