Coolest schooling fish

Most active is an understatement I had 24 at one point in my 125g. It was a never ending tornado. Just their movement kept my Dempsey in hiding. It took the relaxation out of watching my tank so they went to auction .

This. Same as silver dollars, made my other fish skittish. The normal small danios are ok though

I like the danio species. Fast and always active.

Rummy nose tetra is probably the best small schooling fish. They stay near the bottom area of the tank. Rasboras are another good schooler that are a mid-range area fish. Danios are a top area fish that will school when you first put them in your tank. But after awhile when they get used to your tank they will be all over the tank. But a tank that small a lot of Tetra's and Rasbora's that you would think school will actually shoal more to me is not really schooling. The Rummy Nose is really the only small fish I know that always schools together.

Agreed, I have 8 in my sons tank and they're my favorite addition by far. I also really like the black phantom tetras.
