i tryed it with a 2 l coke bottle in one of my tanks that is only a few inches deep .
kind worked but took it out a i could not clean it

Yeah that was another thing Im thinking about, ill probably have to get on of those magnet algae cleaners.
 
Cleaning the glass could be problematic, if you have any stubborn algae that you need to get at with a razor blade. So long as the lower section was fairly wide. and the tall part is relatively narrow, siphoning the gravel wouldn't be too difficult.

With a tank like this, you could have short plants in the low section - maybe even floating plants, and then long blades of vallis in the tall section. That could look weird and cool.

I reckon a tank like this would work better if it was heavily planted. Just a hunch.
