copper in quarentine tank

ok, sounds good...whatever method works for you, go for it.
 
Do you use copper treatments and if so what kind or brand, I only use coppersafe because I used it for years on freshwater and thought it did a good job, but I am open to something else
 
quickly before closed, we use Coppersafe at the store i work at, we are happy with its results. I think the reason that our effective levels are different is because we use the Instant Ocean test kit for copper vs. your API. Im not sure why they would be different but who knows?? (if anyone does, please let us all know)
 
I use SeaChem Cupramine.

Cjack has a very good point. Use a lower salinity in your Q tank for fish. This is a safe and effective way to kill parasites.

Reefscape's recommendation of dips is definitely a must. But the amount of time you want to fresh water dip any particular fishes can vary. Also, match pH to avoid a pH shock.
