So I was wondering...What are the best books out there to educate the complete Newblet about coral? I just did a quick Amazon search and came up with like a million results, most of which were written in the 90's. Do I want something more contemporary or does it not matter? Any good reads or sites to read would be appreciated. Thanks!

Do you want just comprehensive info about corals in the sence of life/IDing? or do you want coral "care" info?

Check out the julian sprung or two little fishies coral books. They are Coral, Invertebrates, and Reef Aquariums...not cheap but awesome books. I'm a huge fan of most of his products.

A website about origins/IDing/and for some life cycle info, its based off probably the most comprehensive book ever written about stoney corals, Corals of the World by Veron, though its more on the science side of things then the general aquarist would need or want, but I find it interesting. http://coral.aims.gov.au/speciesPages/

Any books by Anthony Calfo, Bob Fenner, Eric Borneman, or Ron Shimek (though some of Dr Shimek's work is more for advanced interests again, for things that i like to call "super systems" but really just a system based off of a more natural ocean environment, using complex diverse organisms to maintain systems with deep sand beds and less "agressive" filtrations.). Anthony Calfo being the "newer" of the authors I mentioned. But generally speaking I get most of my info online, via sites like wetwebmedia.com as it's free. BUT the problem with the internet is there is alot of contradictory info.
