The guy at my LFS told me about these today and they are going to start getting them. Has anyone kept them? It also says they're venomous.

they're a full saltwater catfish, eat pretty much anything. fairly active, not really aggressive just more bothersome to tankmates and will eat smaller ones (they are a catfish after all). what do you want to know?

They need a sg of .017-.019, which would make them either a high end brackish or very low end salt I guess.

And they have one hell of a sting, probably one of the worst from any catfish (Like H. fossilis) and yes, saltwater too...

i've only seen pictures of them in huge schools, i bet they get angry without freinds

Omg they're so cute !

But I want to know if they should just be solo fish. Not solo as in just one, but a group without any other different species.

And will they sting other fish?

Phetusus angularis are not worth the investment but are a beautiful fish if you keep brackish or can acclimate them to full salt slowly over time.
