I am getting a lot of micro bubbles coming out of the difuser box. Any suggestions?

are they all through the tank or just from the box itself area?

just through the box area, but that is leading them into the tank.
give it time to break in , micro bubbles should decrease a bit in a week or two.

also i recommend trying different stuff with the padding in the filter box.

they are good skimmers , for the whole couple months they work...

had mine for years never had a issue if you take care of them properly they will work if you neglect them occasionally the will and so will any other skimmer.

I think I would go for an AquaC Remora, Octopus HOB, or even a CPR Bak Pak 2 over this for a little more money. It's better to spend more now than later when you decide the thing isn't adequate and doesn't work.

sorry man but all those you listed are not TRUE skimmers. They are good HOB skimmers but compared to an actual in sump skimmer they are a piece of garbage. They will work , but not to my standards and some others. I would just get the marineland skimmer.... its very cheap over ebay, and its one peice all put together , very very sleek and well built. I herd so many complaints on this that i had to try it for my self , i got it then bought it.... its on my 5 foot green moray tank thats in my avatar.... it skims 2 pounds of food that gets dropped into the tank A DAY.

it made a very good replacement for my triggersystem skimmer that i had.... 500 dollar skimmer...
